Jay Cutler

Professional Fitness Institute spokesman and professional bodybuilder Jay Cutler is both highly recognized and personable. He is the International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness (IFBB) 2002, 2003 and 2004 Arnold Classic champion; the IFBB 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005 Mr. Olympia runner-up; and the 2006 and 2007 Mr. Olympia Champion. For Jay Cutler, training and an ever-challenging workout are part of life.

Jay Cutler was born in 1973 in Worcester, Massachusetts, and is the youngest of seven children. He had an active childhood, which included riding his bike and playing neighborhood games. Additional time was spent working on the family farm and working for his brother's concrete business.

In high school, he played football and was quite popular with everyone. After graduation from high school, he completed his Associate degree in Criminal Justice. It was during this time he discovered bodybuilding. In the beginning, he trained only to look better, but training quickly led to competition, and he won his first at the age of 19. Jay's bodybuilding career and love of competing was well on its way.

Bruce Vartanian, a local bodybuilder and businessman, took Jay under his wing and taught him how to be the best. The hard work paid off. Jay won the NPC U.S. Men's National Bodybuilding Championship in 1996 and gained professional status; his career has continued to skyrocket from there.

Many journalists have declared 2003 as "The Year of Cutler," because Jay won three consecutive contests: the Ironman Pro Invitational, the Arnold (Schwarzenegger) Classic and the San Francisco Pro Invitational. He won two additional competitions and was runner-up three times during 2003, as well.

In 2004 he competed in the Arnold Classic and captured his third consecutive title. He also was runner-up in the 2004 and 2005 Mr. Olympia competitions. Since then, Jay has gone on to become the 2006 and 2007 Mr. Olympia, as well as hitting the 2006 IFBB Euro Tour and winning the Australian, Romanian and Dutch Grands Prix.

Jay Cutler lives in Las Vegas with his wife Kerry. He continues to train and work out to solidify his position as the #1 bodybuilder in the world.
